Her performances, like all the projects she creates, are a source of admiration and inspiration for millions of dancers.

We chose her because she was, and still is, a beginning for many dancers, who saw in her the elegance, experience, professionalism and enormous artistic talent that inevitably marked the personal and artistic path of those who met her.

About Spanish dancer and choreographer, Nesma discovers Arabic music and dance by participating in shows created with her brothers for television.

Captivated, she starts to oriental dance in Madrid and then in Paris. She resides in Cairo from 1993 to 1998 where she succeeds on the local scene as a dancer and gains a deep knowledge not only of dance, but also of Egyptian and Arabic music, language, culture and traditions.

Nesma performed as a soloist with her own 30-piece orchestra in more than 3,500 performances on Cairo’s most prestigious venues.

She expands her career in the “Reda” National Troupe of Egypt. In 1998 she return to Spain to create her own school and the Al-Andalus Dance company, with which she presents her work on prestigious stages in Europe and Egypt.

In parallel, she pursues a successful international career as a dancer and teacher, being recognized throughout the world as a reference creator of this style of dance.

Creator of the neoandalusi style, she is a pioneer in researching and choreographing dance shows inspired by the legacy of al-Andalus.
